Golden, slightly crispy pineapple bites with a naturally sweet flavor. Perfect as a healthy snack or light dessert.
1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
Pinch of salt
Prep the pineapple:
Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin. Remove the eyes with a small knife, then cut into 1-inch chunks.
Toss with flavor:
In a bowl, combine pineapple chunks with oil, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Toss until evenly coated.
Preheat air fryer:
Set air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 2 minutes.
Air fry:
Arrange pineapple in a single layer in the basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and lightly caramelized.
Serve:
Remove carefully and serve warm on its own or with vanilla ice cream.
Fresh pineapple works best, but canned (well-drained) can be used.
Don’t overcrowd the basket—cook in batches if needed.
Add a squeeze of lime juice for extra brightness.
Great topping for yogurt, pancakes, or grilled meats.
