Honey Butter Skillet Corn

This Honey Butter Skillet Corn is a quick and easy side dish that combines sweet corn with rich honey and butter, cooked to perfection in a cast iron skillet for a caramelized finish.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen corn kernels (or fresh corn from 6 ears)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter.
  2. Add the corn kernels to the skillet and spread into an even layer. Cook undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes to develop a char.
  3. Stir the corn and continue cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and lightly browned.
  4. Drizzle the honey over the corn and stir to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. If using, add the heavy cream and stir for 1 minute until heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or chives. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika. For a spicy kick, add a minced jalapeno. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
