My Carbonara Buldak Ramen recipe combines creamy carbonara sauce with fiery buldak ramen for the ultimate spicy, cheesy, and indulgent comfort food. Ready in 20 minutes.
– 1 package (140g) Korean buldak (fire chicken) flavored ramen, noodles and seasoning packets included
– 2 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
– 1 large egg yolk
– 1/4 cup heavy cream
– 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
– 1 green onion, thinly sliced, for garnish
1. Boil ramen noodles until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup cooking water, then drain noodles. Do not rinse.
2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon, leaving fat in pan.
3. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. In a bowl, whisk egg yolk, heavy cream, and Parmesan until smooth.
5. Add drained noodles to the skillet. Add the ramen seasoning packet and toss to coat.
6. Remove skillet from heat. While tossing noodles, slowly pour in the creamy egg mixture. Add reserved noodle water if needed to loosen sauce.
7. Serve immediately topped with crispy bacon, black pepper, green onions, and extra Parmesan.
For food safety, you can use pasteurized eggs. The dish is best enjoyed fresh.
