Garlic Butter Bowtie Pasta with Beef Perfection

A rich and savory one-pan pasta dish featuring tender beef, bowtie pasta, and a luscious garlic butter cream sauce. Ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the steak for 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in beef broth and scrape up browned bits. Stir in heavy cream and simmer.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth.
  7. Toss in cooked pasta and steak. Stir to coat. Add pasta water if needed.
  8. Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use vegan butter and coconut milk. Omit Parmesan or use a dairy-free alternative.
