For Fruit Syrup:
1 1/2 cups fruit (chopped)
3/4–1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup warm water
For Cream Soda:
Homemade fruit syrup
Club soda or carbonated water
Cream (half and half recommended)

1. Make the Fruit Syrup
In a saucepan over high heat, combine warm water and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
Add chopped fruit and bring to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Strain the mixture, discarding the fruit solids.
Let the syrup cool completely before using.
2. Assemble the Cream Soda
Fill a glass with ice.
Add 4 tablespoons fruit syrup over the ice.
Pour in club soda until the glass is about 3/4 full.
