Quick Strawberry Cheesecake Wontons

Crispy wontons filled with a creamy strawberry cheesecake mixture, fried to golden perfection and dusted with powdered sugar. A fast and delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Fold in diced strawberries and strawberry jam.
  3. Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Wet edges with water, fold into a triangle, and press to seal.
  5. Heat oil to 350 degrees F in a deep skillet.
  6. Fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

For a baked version, brush wontons with melted butter and bake at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Serve immediately for best texture.
